The FACET & Baylor Scott and White Hospital
Designing for Impact in Medical Education
FACET, the professional education arm of Baylor Scott & White Hospital, hosts high-level medical conferences to help physicians stay current with ongoing training and research.
I worked closely with the FACET team to elevate the brand presence of their events—starting with Dallas Aorta, then expanding into a broader partnership across multiple conferences including Cardiogenic Shock, Grand Rounds, and Cardiovascular Imaging.
My work spanned brand-aligned event graphics, web design concepts, and front-end development for several responsive, conference-specific web pages.

DESIGN PROCESS
01 / Stakeholder Discovery & Content Review
I began by reviewing FACET’s existing conference materials and aligning with stakeholders on goals, audience, and annual programming cadence. The aim was to improve clarity, maintain brand alignment across conferences, and modernize their visual presentation for a professional medical audience.

02 / Event Branding & Graphic Design
For each conference, I created hero graphics, flyers, and supporting visuals tailored to the specific subject matter and tone of the event. Visual assets were designed to feel clean, precise, and academically aligned while still standing out on the web and in print materials.

03 / Website Wireframes & UX Planning
I designed wireframes for conference-specific landing pages, prioritizing clear hierarchy, easy navigation, and fast access to agendas, registration info, and CME/CE credit instructions. These layouts were modular to support FACET’s evolving content needs across multiple events.

04 / Front-End Development
Using HTML and CSS, I developed fully responsive conference websites optimized for accessibility and performance. Sites were built to adapt smoothly to desktop, tablet, and mobile—supporting both pre-event details and live usage during conferences.
05 / Web Concept for FACET Rebrand
Alongside event execution, I also developed a conceptual redesign of the main FACET.org site. This vision included updated typography, layout structure, and an improved content strategy to help unify their events under a single, modernized brand system.

06 / Delivery, Support & Iteration
Each project was delivered with fully tested assets, clear handoff documentation, and ongoing support for real-time edits leading up to and during conferences. I also created templates to streamline future events for the internal team and reduce production time across their calendar.
ROUND-UP
Working with FACET allowed me to combine clean visual design with thoughtful web development to support a mission-driven organization in the medical education space. Whether it was designing a flyer, building a full conference microsite, or rethinking their web presence altogether, I focused on clarity, trust, and scalability. If you're looking for a designer who can deliver both visuals and code with consistency and purpose—I’d love to connect.
